Am coming across to Perth next week for work and was thinking about bringing across some gear to try and fit in a couple of sails late afternoon but have never sailed at Scarborough before. Is this is the best spot for a quick afternoon sesh and is there a preferred spot to rig and launch.
Depends what you are into Tim. Scarbs is good if local to where you are staying though if its Westerly and big swell it can be pretty full on to deal with. There is also a bit of ribbon weed around. Good starting point though and rigging area is on the grass bank south of the surfclub - Brighton Beach. This week it has turned a bit Southerly, which is ideal
Thanks for that...just looking to get out for a wavesail on my barely used Nuevo 82...don't now what I was thinking getting something that small for SE Qld! Anyway staying at the Quest out at Scarbs so hopefully the southerlies stick around next week!
I went out for a blast this arvo after work..first time at scarbs in ages..loved it!
Hey if you can extend your stay over the weekend you can join in the fun up at Green Head Waves..really give that Nuevo a workout!!
Cool..I'm amped about getting a sail across there next week. Would sooo love to hang around for the weekend and Green head waves...unfortunately I have end of year kids events on.
