Am coming across to Perth next week for work and was thinking about bringing across some gear to try and fit in a couple of sails late afternoon but have never sailed at Scarborough before. Is this is the best spot for a quick afternoon sesh and is there a preferred spot to rig and launch.

Depends what you are into Tim. Scarbs is good if local to where you are staying though if its Westerly and big swell it can be pretty full on to deal with. There is also a bit of ribbon weed around. Good starting point though and rigging area is on the grass bank south of the surfclub - Brighton Beach. This week it has turned a bit Southerly, which is ideal
