Whats the go for next week & where. Ill be in Denmark with 108 Slalom kit and will sail in Denmark or Albany or leave it at home.
Cheers Dave
Dave when do you plan on arriving?
At this stage Saturday may be an Easterly in the afternoon, Sunday/Monday SW'erly & after that it doesn't seem that promising but things could change. If the forecast is right I'll sail Saturday & most likely Sunday as well, good chance Shane & Steve will be out over the weekend as well. Weed fins are often needed down here if you want to sail in the flat, especially if you want to try Lilacs/Harding Rd in Princess Royal Harbour in Albany.
Hi Morts, I like fast and have new board to try.
How big a fin is usual?
We arrive after lunch on Sunday
Does Erith Crump still sail there and a guy called Adrian?
Cheers
To sail on the speed area a sub 25cm during summer is usually required, I have a delta 21cm you could try it you don't have one. General harbour sailing no size restrictions.
Possibly an Easterly next Wednesday but they only seem to be happening for 1 day this year instead of 3-4 in a row like previous years. Think this is partly due to the -ve Southern annular mode.
Last I heard Erith has gone to the dark side... Sorry don't know an Adrian.
I should be there wed / thur.
Hi Morts & Kato,
im keen to come over from Denmark but it's got to be blowing. But we leave on Thurs. I'm on 6.7/5.7 & 108ltrs.
Can you let me know when & where. The more notice the better for my family.
You can message me on 0413017871
cheers guys
Hey Dave the forecast still looks pretty good for Wednesday arvo. I'm actually in Mandurah for a couple of days but plan to head home early Wednesday morning & sail in the afternoon. There will probably also be at least one other Albanian sailing as well, I'll give him the heads up.
Kato I missed meeting you yesterday, was that you flying around on the Green board? If you will be in Albany on Wednesday would be great to catch up for a sail ![]()
No worries Kato, was a fun afternoon here as I'm sure it was in Margs. May not be that warm here in Albany tomorrow...
