Hi guys, can anyone tell me the weed situation in safetyt bay at the moment please? Im thinking of doing a trip down today from the north but dont have a weed fin so dont want to make a wasted trip!

Weeds always there, long stringy stuff you can run a straight, but will give you the tom tits if it is low tide.
the speed strip is full of sea grass (long stringy stuff)
Out the back of the pond there are the large clumps of drifting kelp that'll stop you in your tracks without a weed fin.
If you're just staying inside the pond you should be ok with out one until you get closer to the shore or bank.
If you get planning early you either dodge the weekor mow it down like I use to do but in general you just have to use a weedee
