Hi Slalom Crew,
It is with great disappointment that I advise you all that this weekends last round of racing is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions announced by the State and Federal Governments.
Yesterday the SBYC announced to members that they would be cancelling the rest of their season, this is a decision that the SBYC committee made as a group and that I support.
Typical.... there looks like there will be wind this weekend, where possible, I hope you get a chance for a sneaky sail somewhere.
Unfortunately due to pubs, clubs and sporting venues being closed and social distancing enforecment it is unlikely that there will be an opportunity for a season wind up. We will all have to have a beer at home and celebrate our health.

On behalf of all the competitors, i'd like to say thanks to Jo and Mike (and Oswald) for taking on and organising the slalom series. They've had to make some hard decisions on cancelling races this season and have done a stellar job running the show when Huey's played ball.
Big thanks to all the volunteers at WWA and SBYC as well who donated their time to making it all happen.
i'll have a beer (or three) in your honour.
