I have a few consecutive days off coming up and am considering taking advantage of the extra time to hit the road and sail somewhere new Any suggestions Kalbarri to Albany.. ?
Not yet a wave sailor but happy enough on the ocean. Happy water starting etc Drove through Cervantes and thought it looked awesome.. Kalbarri river mouth maybe? .. Any good free ride spots in Gero? ..

Just a warning Alfie, there will be "young" men with avatars that look like Brad Pitt who offer to act as tour guide for you. They are actually grey haired, married, 60 year old men with prostate problems. Take their advice but don't accept a lift!

I would head North this time of year for warmth. Will be a bit early for sea breezes but you might get lucky with frontal wind or an early seabreeze. Most stops have an area where you can do some flat water sailing. Lancelin, Cervantes, Geraldton and Kalbarri.

have fun and remember I have warned you

Best bet, I reckon, is head to Corronations Beach, just north of Gero.
you can camp there or drive from town each day.
there was a Seabreeze in Gero a few days ago, and a light one here today.
you never know if you don't go.
enjoy!

Haha forewarned is forearmed as they say! Might try Gero- can always stop off in Cervantes and Lano on the way
Any one got any tips on directions to Coronations/ where to camp etc or is it all pretty self (google) explanatory

From memory there is a sign (if you're looking for it) off the main highway not too far north of gero. There are campsites on the beach at corros, but they may well be closed for off season. might be a matter of getting some accomodation in gero and commuting...

If your not into waves yet maybe try Shark Bay.
Plenty of lagoons, pristine beaches and flat water
More likely to get stronger seabreezes this time of year than further south.
Bit further than Kalbarri but can still do it in a day.

Corro camp ground open..$5 per nite. I'd stay in town however for other options & head up to Corro if the "breeze" does set in

Hey Mark_australia, what does the camp ground look like this time of year? Is it full of Grey Nomads or are some spots still available?

Corro is the place to go, about $7 per person with gazeebos a BBQ and loos, no water,no electric, there will be space. Good for all types of sailing and you will be happy as long as there is wind. Yes there will be grey nomads as its early yet in the season, we had a couple of great days this time last year on our way to Exmouth.
