I regret to inform you that our friend and Pinnaroo teammate Lester Grotowski (Lezz) was found dead at his home last Thursday. Police suspect a splenic haemorrhage, but the coroner's report is still pending. Fellow Pinnaroo sailor Geoff had coffee with Lester on Tuesday last week. Geoff said Lester was looking a bit pale and drawn but was in good spirits, and was keen to get back into windsurfing. Geoff lent him an iSonic to get him going.
Lester's family have asked us to let all Lester's friends know.
Funeral Mass will be held on 9th August 11:00 at St Simon Peter Catholic Church

Very sad news he was a great guy I had some great laughs with him down at liptons rip Lester !
So sad. Such a nice guy. Always smiling.
One of the regulars at Pinnaroo Point - we'll miss him.
Still recall the day he joined out team. Started and had to stop, while he traveled over seas, then back into it.
RIP Lester.
