Sad News - Bondy passed away yesterday after a hang glider accident in York. News reports suggested he was possibly flying a new glider for the first time. He moved over from QLD in the early Nineties (in his big yellow ex-ambulance) to windsurf on the WA tour. I'll fondly remember his great sense of humour, his amazing ability to make stuff, and his love of adventure (and stories thereof - e.g. accidentally sailing through a shark feeding frenzy literally in the middle of Moreton Bay while sailing to North Stradbroke Island and back).
Although I didn't see him very often these days, I always looked forward to catching up and having a good laugh about the old days.
He was a good mate and he'll be missed.
Dan

Very, very sad tragic news of the loss of a good friend Grant, he will be deeply missed. A warm friendly helpful and sincere person. We shared making boards together, Windsurfing, story telling and fun times. Grant always was a very adventurous soul, living his life to the full in all his activities that he loved to do.
I will treasure the memories and his inspiration.
My deepest sympathy goes out to all his family and friends.
Mike.
