I tried to resurrect my old thread, but I need administrator approval as it is "too old to be refreshed".

Anyhow I've got a some ideas to run a groms/young adult wavesailing camp and need some numbers, groms must be already fairly confident wave sailors to qualify. It'd be pretty sick if it happens. Held in the coming school holidays/uni break.

So far:
Jaeger Stone
Hendrix Stone
Matt Gwynne
Felix Spencer
Alastair McLeod?
Not sure if Jet sails waves?

Probably looking for around 8-10 people. Are there any other young WA wavesailors new to the scene? I just need to sus numbers to see if it'd be worth while. Cheers

WWA is holding a number of wave events this season and juniors are always welcome. The calendar will be out in the next couple of weeks see stay tuned.

For next year, a grom event is a great idea that WWA would be more than happy to support in regard to insurance etc.

How would you like to see a grom event run?

It wouldn't be an event. The ethos would just be to improve the level and confidence of young wavesailors and perhaps promote the sport to young crew a bit. Judging by the number of groms I've seen in the waves the sport could could definetly benefit. Daily video review with some coaching from high-level wavesailors. WWA insurance coverage be awesome. Once I get the framework down I'll definetly be in touch with WWA. I already know a few of you, but I usually work during your AGM hours.

Cheers JasonC and Devman. Check PM's I'll get your details.
