Anyone else a bit sore and battered after some decent wind and swell?

I had real trouble timing my wave riding (bottom turn too early or too late), and must have looked like a complete spaz.

I know I dont see those "true" 30 knot days very often, so yes pretty sore.
has a tendency to really find the holes in your technique, which in my case could be qualified as gaping holes

I found it real hard going too. On 4.7 and 92L, as a 97kg guy I was getting smashed. Gave up on bottom turns...

I called it as about 50 kiter knots.

Oh Mark, you are getting soft. Even I was on a 4.9.
I did call it a day after only 8 km though.

When I lived in Geraldton 30 knots seemed a lot easier, but back then I was 15 years younger and a 4.0m sail was the most commonly used sail I owned.

97kg? I though your looked heavier than that

On the ground at the point yesterday it was showing on my gauge as bouncing between 18 and 28 knots. It felt a lot stronger on my 9m kite, 32 knots today on the 7m was fare more manageable and a lot of fun, on a couple of jumps I got to look down on Mark mowing the lawn, back and forward, back and forward.

Mowing the lawn as it was too hard to hold it down in a bottom turn. How did you go riding waves today Chris?
