The Windsurfer Class has contacted WWA and is keen to see one design sailing back in WA. They would like to run some one design racing as part of one of the WWA events.

Who of you sailed in the glory days and is keen to get back into a bit of wally board sailing?

Sounds good as long as pumping is outlawed
What's the cost in a set up?

I am interested if the price is right for set up.

hey recycle, still some boards from the Perth Worlds floating around hopefully for second-hand. Complete kits have even been found in council roadside cleanup stuff by a couple of people (in Vic and NSW )

New, distributors are Windgenuity. Think it's info@windgenuity.com.au or phone 02 9982 6444.

With your name, you're sure to end up with a great second-hand set-up
cheers WindsurferOD

yeah, getcha on that snides8, some of us anyway

cost new about ?$1,999 Good 2nd hand about $600+, but bargains found sometimes

club level racing and some events, you can organise about pumping to suit - eg no pumping

Mixing it up works well - such as have one race with pumping allowed, (for 30 seconds after the start, on reaches and downwind), next race no pumping, etc. Can use that to work out Handicap starts for another race - that's fun for everyone.

So with racing, like if you're at Safety Bay, it could be done that way.

At the Nationals, it's pumping allowed (for 30seconds after the start, on reaches and downwind).
Hope to see you out there snides8

Great aribenasher

the ws one design is good to have, cos it's not a matter of replacing other gear. People add it to their set-up or just focus on sailing the windsurfer one design. Guess a lot of people know anyway, but it's a good all round board, can use it when too light for other classes, can still do technical sailing though. Can put the whole family on one and go to the shops

What we wrote to recycle above - Windgenuity, they do good costs with transport, such as when they shipped to Tasmania last season.

nice talking to you aribenasher
