Hi, just in Perth for a couple of days and I was wondering If there was anywhere to hire windsurfing kit on the beach at an hourly/half day period. I know there is a spot at pelican point But was hoping to hire some wave gear if possible.

Cheers,

James

James,

If you have time and transport head to Lancelin 90 mins north of Perth. Hire from WERNERS HOT SPOT contact Werner on windslanc@hotmail.com or call 0407 426 469
He has good wave gear for blasting inside the reef and waves for outside if interested.

cheers,
Dangles.

Thanks dangles, we came down the coast from the north and I actually did drop in at lancelin and hire some gear from Werner for a few hours. I would head back up for the day but sold the car yesterday. Thanks for the advice

Don't quote me, but I think the guys at WA Windsurf at the Bent Street boat ramp in Safety Bay hires gear.
No down the line waves, but good bump and jump and a very pretty and interesting place to sail.
AND you don't need a car!!! The 552 bus from Rockingham train station stops 20m away or the 551 bus to penguin road then a 400m walk to the shop.

Thanks longwinded,

Sorry for the late reply but over in NZL now and not getting internet quite as often.

Ended up just hiring at pelican point and had a good blast for a couple of hours. Has seriously made me ask why am i moving back to work in the UK?

Have a feeling it won't be too long before i'm back out in Perth again...such an awesome spot

Cheers
