Sunday 11th at Melville. My boy is keen as but can't do Saturdays.

Melville has less of that disgusting weed stuff than Pelican Point

This weeks kids event will be prior to Rnd 3 of the Patrik Slalom Series @ Safety Bay Yacht Club.

To participate in the WWA kids program ALL children need to be a member of Windsurfing Western Australia or an affiliate club.

To keep costs down a Kids Membership ($35) has been establish or if there is more than one sailor in the family we have a Family Membership (parents $85, kids $30).

The general plan for the sessions will be:

Beginner kids onto the water before the seabreeze gets too strong (10am to 12pm)
For the beginner kids, it is required that there is a parent per child while they are on the water.
More advanced kids waiting for the wind to pickup later in the afternoon

PFDs are mandatory while on the water.

Thanks to the awesome SW Junior Windsurf School the Metro Juniors now have a 2.5m rig that be can borrowed at the Junior Sailing days. This size is perfect for kids 8 and up.

For this Safety Bay kids event, what are the advantages of doing it at the SBYC instead of at the pond? I thought kids would feel safer at the pond being a shallow, flat and enclosed area.

Will a call be made on the racing for Saturday?

The current forecast looks very average.

Due to the poor forecast for Saturday, the call has been made to CANCEL the Patrik Slalom Series - Rnd 3.to potentially make the Kids Windsurfing more central would it be better to relocate to Melville?

Ok, lets change to Melville tomorrow morning. No excuse not to do Christmas shopping with the masses tomorrow afternoon now

WWA will again put on a BBQ, watermelon and drinks for the kids.
