Contemplating a visit to Crab cruncher land on Sat.

Which exit should I take on the new highway....Lakes Road or Pinjarra Road?

G'day Guys
The new ext is good unfortunately it still doesn't cut out the 20mins it takes to get across Mandurah.

The exit you need is Lakes Rd, it can take you down to where the main drag near Bunnings. alternatively turn left at the first set of lights and follow your nose till Pinjarra rd turn right then left at the main drag again.

Thanks Elmo,
Looking at the map I didn't expect the new hwy would shave much off the journey to Hardies.

It'll carve out a fair chunk from the journey to Yoyos though, should you ever wish to make it!

Make sure you reduce speed to 80 at the sign on the new hwy outside Mandurah even though you can see why the speed should be reduced, because the speed trap will get you if you don't.

Just a tip, the turnoff for Pinjarra rd says Pinjarra turnoff. Whereas it should say Mandurah /Pinjarra via Pinjarra rd. confused ?

If you end up at the roundabout that's Bunbury and you will have to drive back

Are there any spots on the (I guess it would be east side) of the estuary, that the new highway might have opened up???

Yep, Green lands rd will get you to the other side at Claudesville, however you will have to wait fro the tides to fill in as the mudflats are dry at the moment

Made the journey on Saturday and the freeway extension definitely cuts some time from the trip.

From memory it took me around an hour and twenty minutes to get to Novara from Oz Park before. Did the trip in an hour on the weekend. Sweet.
