So i was lucky enough to receive a V8 from a very generous windsurfing couple.
The sail is in really good condition except for the batten pocket/cam locator on the second bottom batten.
What's happened is the cam locator on the batten pocket - inside the luff pocket, has broken off.
In turn this has allowed the batten to come through into the cam.
Once the cam rotated on a gybe the force then snapped the tip off of the batten.
Does anyone have a spare cam locator/ batten they'd like to sell or can repairers repair something like this?
I reckon I might have one mate. let me check tonight. Other wise Reg would have one for sure
Reg used to have them.
I think Ki has one or two sitting in the drawer.
I think Severne make a similar part as well
