Hey guys,
Just wondering what everyone's thoughts on wave sailing in summer around mandurah are compared to scarbs??? Scarbs can still be fun when the swell is small, so just wondering on a 'typical' summers day if there is anywhere similar in that area... Also thoughts on winter to would be great :)
Thanks!!!
mandurah is great on it's day,,, unfortunately during summer, that day only occurs when there is a full blue moon.... more chance in the winter ![]()
Summer - epic on it's day but needs SSW and big swell, which like Miller says, is a blue moon........
Winter - awesome. Better than anywhere NOR anyway.... but there are a couple of spots SOR closer than Mandurah for Perth dwellers
After going for a cruise down today I would have thought secret harbour beachies are pretty identical to scarbs, maybe 5 degrees more onshore but still sailable.
I asume by looking at it that it would pick up the same swell as scarbs???? If anything the waves kinda looked a bit nicer then scarbs??
Thanks for the feedback,I reckon the beach runs pretty similar to scarbs so I think it would def be the place to go if not enough swell for avalon, I know it would not be great but it's good to have a place to get something on small summer days!
Cheers!
Singleton is just south of Secret Harbour.
The beach is on the same line but picks up a foot less swell.
Very dependant on sand. A lot of the time it's breaking to close to sore for waves.
These guys look like putting a posse together around there tho.
