Where about do you locals sail and launch from in north westerlys or westerlys for that matter? And is it suitable with larger weed fins?

Westerlies are ok with big fins from Novara, NW from Cobblers, but beware the rocks, there's a clump just past where you're sure it's deep enough to launch.

hey Leftfield....listen to our wise Capt'n. The rocks off Cobblers are experts in camouflage and they'll get you every time. They are also made of the hardest material known on Earth. Wade out at least 20 metres further than you think.....then you'll only hit the last couple.
It's a good place to sail though especially in N or NW
