I saw it flowing from top of the hill in Beaconsfield, and coming out of a drain big time on south terrace in south freo
i cant see it could possibly make it to AX at all
can anyone confirm as news services can be .. Well ![]()
Yeah, just visited lucky bay carpark, they've got the health warning signs up everywhere on the beach.
i hope theres repercussions for the numpties that screwed up. Any private company that managed to spill an amount of foreign material into the river would be in some serious sh!te (pun intended)
Poo
need a lot more rain before it's flushed huh. Won't be sailable Friday then..
I dun mind, pipes break. But then diverting to other pipe won't work as it was done on the cheap bare minimum size to handle the population at that time in the 90's ... No thought to future planning ..? Govt huh ![]()

so now the other pipe failed and put **** all down the Main Street and the river
Yeah. The signage is up at Melville, but they've said the whole river is no good for activities involving direct contact with the water.
heads should roll, but guberment, so probably no. Just a whoopsies, you get that on the big jobs.
(I hate gov bureaucracy in case no one noticed)
Love it
whoopsies and big jobs is what the pipe carried
its tidal but one good rain will flush it plenty.
Big question is if they monitor the beaches between Cockburn and Scarborough. Given the current dominant wind direction I would say anything washed out of the river and Boat Harbour could inevitably end up anywhere between Port Beach and Scarborough. According to City of Fremantle beach water quality is only measured between November and April... how convenient.
Been trying to find any updates on measured water quality in the river and nearby beaches and came up empty. If anyone has link that would be appreciated.
