Unsure just yet but might go for a big quad this year. Big means 100L plus.
All the shops show nothing and so does the buy n sell here.

New is not an option, if I had $2500 I'd pass out from the excitement.

Anyone thinking about selling...? I am not keen on selling a board or two and then be left with nothing to sail just as it is all starting!

I think if you are looking at a used one the Fanatic 101 Quad pops up from time to time.

The problem seems to be that anything 100l and above sells very quickly. I think there was a SSD 110l Thruster in the Buy&Sell section. Can't remember exactly but I think was going for about $900.

Jase I know what you mean, I'd love to and the one I just finished has given me a taste so I have ideas....but it is a bit late to start now and really I need to trade in ($$ vs time available)
Also, at the moment I'd rather sail production so I am assured of what I am getting, maybe custom later...

Stehsegler I know that u mean - there is about 30 boards here in 85 - 95L (That is not counting twins, singles, thrusters and weird stuff)..... but only one that is over 100L.

Thus my posting here...

It's actually quite funny. About 5 years ago I was talking to JP, Quatro, Fanatic about 100l+ production / custom wave boards. I tried to tell them that this was the most overlooked market in the wave sailing segment. Between being told to loose some weight and that boards that size don't work I was mostly laughed at.

Now look at the market. Most shops are full of 70 - 90 litre wave boards (especially used ones) that no one wants to buy. On the other hand 100l boards seem to fly off the shelve. In addition, almost every company does a 100l plus wave board. Goya even does a 118l Quad.

I actually wish there was an automatic notification service for the Buy & Sell section that sends you a message as soon as someone lists a board/ sail or what ever on a category you are interested in.

I am less "maybe" now - pretty sure I need to do this

Fanatic 101L, Goya or Quatro 100L - 110L (in their less rockered models), for about $1K

anyone...?

Good luck with that ... it's so rare that people have realistic expectations when it comes to selling gear.

Actually bought a 93 Fanatic Quad off jsnfok a couple of year ago. The price was great and it's still going strong. Not a very early planing board but awesome on the waves.
