Thumbs Up

I thought it was extremely well run. I have been in quite a few over the years and they actually seem to be getting even better organised as time goes on. Moving the registration up from the beach was a great idea. The new finish system seemed to work well, when you come in as late as I did it doesnt matter as much. The fixed start time of 3:00 was good to, let you plan it ahead.

My only two suggestions would be:

I liked the kites on the marks better, I found it difficult to spot the mark boats and the difference between a red and orange flag isnt obvious from a few Km away. The big black kites used years ago were very easy to spot, but I can understand they may have been a pain to control.

I hit a floating cray pot rope in the centre of the run in to the beach (after the two orange pimple buoys. If it was put there to increase the entertainment factor on the beach thats fine but perhaps that area could have the ropes tidied up (just coiled and tied of) for the day. It was quite funny as I actually was planing for the first time for ages and there was a sailor each side of me (who I am looking at) when Wham straight into the rope, fin catches straight over the nose.

I didnt get to go on Sunday but would be interested to hear how the Slalom and free lessons for kids went. I thought making that a more "fun" day was a great idea and hopefully a few people tried it out.

All up a great day / week.

All set for the 25th one now.
