yeah no slalom gear this year,
i think it makes sense though as it is meant to be a light wind course racing sailing and at least there will be one Formula event in WA:-)
hopefully not many windsurfers will enter this year and that will give ma place on the podium ha ha
Would anybody have a spare formula board + fin, they would lent out?
It would still be fun to part of the event, even with no slalom gear allowed :)
HI guys, an UPDATED
after talking to the organisers a large slalom set up with long fins capable of windward/leeward in light winds might be allowed.
so 130 plus boards with 9ish sail and 50cm fin should be allowed, maybe msg JBSC first to make sure it will be allowed.
basically to avoid cancelling the event as last year, the bottom wind limits have been dropped and the race will be run in in even 5knts.
from memory top wind limit for cats is like 25knts, foil kites probably simmilar..
but if there is a 20knts seabreeze than i think even 7,9 and 120s with a 38-40 com wil do the job

Large Slalom capable of going upwind in light winds will be alowed
Ask Steve for a Formula board but i reckon he will want to use his:-)
Entries close 1 Nov
From the event organisers:
To clarify the Windsurf Class requirements (from NOR):"2.9. Windsurf Class Equipment Limitation
2.9.1. Only Formula/Windfoil/RSX or similar that can easily manage a windward/leeward in light winds."
Slalom boards are not excluded, but you will need to be aware that we could have a 20kn SSW or an 8kn ENE - and the race will still start
