well it has been dictated that i may have to relocate to the mighty centre of Karratha for the next two years and my query is thus, is it very windsurf friendly and would i have to expect different conditions from bun-vegas?

Flat water blasting, thats about it for there. You can go up and down the Coast to get waves if need be.
But lots of "flat water"

Crocodiles are pretty rare there. But yeh I am up that way a lot, and certain times of the year it is really windy - though flat water blasting only, in dampier.

Get a boat

and drive out the back of the islands, there are several spots to surf and sail, they are bit too hard core for me but I can definitely see the potential.

I blow in to Karrachi every few months, happy to take you out there once you're all set up.

You can also try the salt flats, I've always wanted to do that,

sounds like it may be worth the effort to get my gear trucked up from bunno then. whats the winds like up there, i hoping i can just get away with what gear i have for bunbury to get me out on the water
