Keep coming out of my back foot strap when jumping..........is it is a simple as not having the strap set right or are there tips for staying in them? Thanks

Dont think there is much someone with your skill level can do
, suggest you get some help from dolph or buy lots of glue
narrow the rear footstrap by moving one of the screws a hole closer. I find this works for me and my narrow feet.
put pressure down on your toes when you jump to angle the board to catch the wind and give you lift. It also helps keep your feet in!
Ironman - awful advice. I'll take his advice on surviving face plants and swimming. The man's growing gills he spends that much time in the drink.
Bertie - thanks - will try this in waves but not sure if i'm comfortable with having the foot so deep in bump and jump when going faster. I give it a go though.

You really need about half your foot in the strap or you can't gain any 'traction' by applying the method Bertie describes, or minimal at best. Depending on what you are doing, it's often better to have them larger and gaining the traction by using your toes rather than having them tight and 'wedging' your feet in the straps; this particularly applies for waves/freestyle imo.
For wave sailing and jumping I like my straps loose enough to get my whole foot in with no effort.
then there is less chance of them getting stuck in when wiping out. As zubby says, it can be very painful having the board twist one way and you the other.
Too loose is just as dangerous, if your foot goes all the way thru on a wipeout, that can break your leg.
As said, bunching your toes gives you purchase against board and strap.
