Anyone else enjoy a sunny sail this arvo?
I had a lovely cruisy sail on the river. 85L Sonic with my museum piece 6.2m cammed sail (my largest). What a lovely light wind combination. Only about 10 others out at Peli, and no-one at Melville I hear. It was a lovely afternoon for a sail! I didn't want to stop but it got dark so early...
This season is just a crack up. Well into April & another good sesson late yesterday with a good 18 -20 knts. A bit more swell and would have been happy days!!
I was putsing around for a hour and a half at Manly with a 6.5. before the breeze filled in enough to get me planing. There were only 3 other blokes out from Manly and a couple of other nameless sails on the horizon. I had a lovely time working on my helitacks and such. It was a nice day to get wet.
was planning on some crazy action. just need some wind.
gotta get new tyres on the van so that might mess timing up a bit.
i'll either be there at 12 or about 4.
The wind direction is actually NE - I am not sure whether I should just go to Cott - might be a bit hard to get back up the beach from Crazies if its up and down? Does it work in a NE?
