How is the wind in Geraldton in early to mid March? .. Still worth an interstate trip or too late in the season?

Is there likely to be some swell at Sunset with cross-off winds?

Can be good... can be garbage. Given the season has been a bit strange I'd lean towards the later. Further North might be better.

Rental cars with anyone but Bayswater Car Rental seem to be horrendously expensive at the moment. Same goes for motorhome rentals if you can even get one. Wicked campers seem to be available and "reasonably priced" for now ... if you can stomach driving around in one.

Omicron should be in full swing by March so expect a lot of COVID restrictions. Just make sure you allow an extra 7 days and additional funds for hotel quarantine in case you test positive on arrival. Not entirely sure of the process yet but it looks like if you don't have suitable accomodation to recover they'll give you the option of either going to a quarantine hotel at your own cost or flying straight back home.

Driving across from Vic and camping so hopefully that reduces the risk ..

Guess it would still be a great trip with or without wind!

If you have wave and freeride gear and a SUP, it will be magic.
