Been puzzling for a while about how to transport all the kit on family road trips without having to resort to a trailer. This works pretty well - an ARB basket rack with Thule roof bars attached on top. Sails, booms, masts etc go in the basket and boards go on the rails on top. No sail crushing.
Pics show roof loaded with 4 sails, 2 booms, 2 masts, 2 windsurf boards and 4 surf boards. It could easily take another windsurf board and a SUP and another couple of sails. Quick and easy to load up too. And the boot is free for the bags and the tow ball is free for the bike rack.
With the whole family windsurfing and surfing now this has solved a big logistics problem - chuffed!
