Not sailing related but had a good experience so thought I'd share.
A while ago my van was hit from behind on the left corner and a fair bit of damage was done, was enough to bend the nudge bar at 90 degrees and buckle the floor in the corner. Took it to Bowra Paint & Panel in Osborne Park and they did a great job on the repairs. Looks good as new!
I had a car repaired about 10 years ago in Melbourne and it was a nightmare of sink back and cracking paint. Took it back three times before I decided to cut my losses. Since Bowra did such a good job I thought it was worth telling people in case they need repairs done in the future. This was an insurance job but I'm probably going to take the mrs car there to get a few things tidied up now.
I think as a test you need to take it on a road trip tomorrow......to Burrum Heads. Might even win yourself another sail ![]()
Fair comment, a lot of smash repairs run too tight a schedule, so it's bog it. park it in the sun (at least till the top 1mm is dry) sand it. spray it. get it out then, next please!! ![]()
The end result is cracking, shrinkage etc. Good to know you had some success. I used to think name and shame worked, but then you have to think of litigation. ![]()
