The Better Half and Offspring parked there today while taking the dog for a walk and the scumbags decided to smash the drivers side window to see if there was anything they could swipe. They got nothing - they didn't even bother with my life's savings of $3.40 parking money in the console 
They must have gotten disturbed because there was two other cars belonging to friends next to ours and they didn't get touched.
Another nasty surprise when we found out how much a side window for a 2007 Toyota Rav4 costs 
Just a cool $460 plus another $180ish if we want it fitted on the weekend.
Luckily I have good insurance to cover it .....
Next time she and the kids can go for a walk and leave the dog in the car -- it's a Ridgeback with a nasty attitude to people (and low-life) it doesn't know 
Sorry to hear that Patskin, thought with the new buildings it might be getting better there. We parked there earlier today as well.
Have you told the Police and Cockburn Council?
A while back one of the Cockburn councillors got done there and was calling for surveillance to be installed - hearing about another incident might help them take some action.
We reported it to the police and a mate of mine works for the council so I will let him know when I see him.
I also thought it would be better with the new buildings there but I guess the pricks will do there business no matter what given the opportunity........
I spoke to a council person today and they have a pretty good idea of who is doing the break-ins and the police do too. They seemingly are untouchable if you get my drift.[}:)]
They do regular patrols but the sneaky little s__ts use off road bikes with a lookout with a mobile to stay ahead of the patrols so if you see anyone hanging around any carparks on bikes in the area maybe go somewhere else or call the ranger or drive ov..........
They are going to roll out a CCTV system starting at Coogee after a trial period supposedly but they better make sure they are out of reach otherwise they might get swiped
