I'm a keen (but newish!) windsurfer based in City Beach
I've recently been given a role as a mentor to a young lad through a well established program for youth mentoring.
Part of the role is to come up with free or low cost activities for our weekly catch ups.
With your assistance, I would like to take the young fella for some windsurfing sessions as the weather starts to warm up. He is an energetic and active lad and I'm sure would relish the opportunity to have a go at sailing.
I have enough gear for myself but need some more gear for a young boy under 10 years old. I have a large board for him to use.
If you have an child suitable gear you would like to offload (mainly looking for sail/mast/boom/wetsuit/life jacket/booties) I would appreciate the opportunity to chat further. As long as the gear works, the age and appearance won't be an issue
Unfortunately I "technically" can't offer cash, so would be relying on your good will. Perhaps an option would be to loan the gear for the summer months and return at the end, maybe i can arrange a deposit for your protection. This is all negotiable of course as I am quite keen to give him a go at this!
