So the other halfs car has been knocked out of shape - it still drives fine but with the bonnet pretty crumpled, the driver side front panel pretty done in, and one of the headlights fubarred I'm not so sure its a good idea. The problem being is that my car is now under scrutiny as the vehicle of choice for moving children around.
Ignoring the inevitable crisp packets, half eaten sandwiches and general detritus that will be deposited in my windsurfing vehicle the bigger problem (obviously) is that my windsurfing over the summer holidays will be severely compromised
And so to my question, as its not covered by insurance I'm looking for a really cheap repair job - not interested in matching or nice paintwork (I don't even care about paint
) , I'd just like to get it back to a point of safe driving as cheaply as possible, car aesthetics are very, very low down on my list of priorities.
Anyone know anyone in and around Perth - I am NOR and the vehicle in question is a Hyundai Getz.
The alternative could be to just keep using it but I am not sure if that would result in a ticket from the police or being sent over the pits etc?
Any help or advice much appreciated!
Bernie
If you're handy with a set of sockets you could get a quarter panel, bonnet and headlight from the wreckers and put them on...
If you managed to find a set of white panels then it would look fine.
Hard to tell from the pic if you've bent anything else.
^^ agreed
But if you can't afford / tackle the job, I reckon you may even make do with just getting a headlight in. Provided the headlight aligns properly and bonnet still latches it could be driven for quite some time
