Hi,
Is it possible to rent a campervan in Perth WA that can sleep 4 (including two children under 4) and also carry windsurf equipment and a stand up paddleboard? I'm keen to get something with all the works: toilet, shower, cooker, fridge, etc.
Thanks,
Nick

Depends on how deep your pockets are... Brits, Maui etc are all good starting points for proper motor homes. But expect to pay in excess of $250 a day for it.
I looked at Britz but they don't have any means to carry a SUP. No roof rack! I can't be certain that I'd be able to get it inside either.
In my experience driving the east and west coasts, WA caravan parks have excellent "camp kitchen" facilities -> so if you are aiming to stay within caravan parks, then you wont need cooker, toilet, shower ... or even a fridge ( a non-electric "car fridge" and a few frozen bottles of water, would suffice for travelling between destinations ).... Obviously, if you are aiming to do free-camping or other bush camping, then you will need those creature comforts.
If you just want to carry say two boards and a few sails, and make use of park facilities - then you dont really need a motorhome -> a hi-top camper with a rear-lift-door would possibly be suitable. Or... you could downsize the van, and purchase a cheap'ish 6-person tent.
It is worth noting - Australia is somewhat backward when it comes to free-camping within "town limits"... you might get a warning and thus encouraged to move on into said caravan parks.
^^ agreed. and if so,a wagon and hired camper trailer then sell the wagon upon leaving.
If you really need the space get a small tent for $20 for the kids, or billet out the missus ![]()
Perhaps another option for you could be hiring my custom built trailer. Unlike other caravans it is very "minimalistic" inside and has a large back door so many toys can be carried. Like you I have two kids, so two removable bunk beds in the back and can comfortably sleep 4. Also has the Oz tent that attaches to the side for more storage/sleeping space.
Of course you would still need a tow car.

other option is to hire a 4wd with roof rack and caravan,
Not cheap, but ticks all your boxes.
