What a great shot westhammer! and nice jump too! it was such an awesome day on the water, even the fact that in the end i broke my mast doesn't bother me that much:-))

Here's a kiter wondering how windsufferers get brown shorts, I mean if it's strong you just let go right. And you never get higher than the pic at the top. So how is it possible? Not like you're ever 30m up and wondering what the trip back down's gonna be like. I mean if a nasty front comes through your sail's not gonna pick you up and carry you 100m sideways in the blink of an eye and deposit you up the nearest tree or power pole, right?

/not trolling your threads, felix started it But I'll take some red anyway...

Spoken like someone that's never been teetering on the edge of a catapult at 30 knts. Why would you be worried bout how the landings gonna go when you've got a kite there to parachute down with? We polies don't believe in parachutes.......

Catapult shmatapult a kite won't parachute you when it's at your level and flying down like this one over in the kite threads right now...

Ask Laurie he's a kiter and put the brown arrows in not that you'd get any in Queensland.
Most kiters were in hiding Saturday and some windsurfers to.

Great picture buy the way.

Yep we don't get the brown arrows much in QLD. By much I mean ever.
I'd be hiding anyway, personally I'm too old to bother these days and my smallest kite's too big for much over 25kts.
I like the top shot too, you can see the wind on the water and how far the spray is blowing, looks like a wild day.

Not all, there were a few out where I was, including me, 28-30 knots when we went out, gusting to close to 40 on the back end of the squalls. Had a blast.
