What Is the best way to buy/make a windsurf trailer in Perth ?
6waveboards+9sails+roofracks seems like not a good combination !
Should I head to John papas or lodestar Or somewhere else ? Do you think I will find there an older And perhaps used cheap box or flat-top trailer ?
How much does it roughly cost to rego a trailer ?
Can I make it with a budget of 500$ ?
Does anyone have a trailer they want to sell ?
Thanks
Alex
There has been numerous threads on this in the last few months.

IMHO the best bet is a secondhand trailer from the paper / quokka, and make the top part yourself. The tradeins at Jonh Papas etc all get refurbished and sold at a high-ish price. I'd not get one as they are just painted to make them look all shiny again but the rust is back a month later as they are not treated properly to neutralise the rust.
Rego is expensive now as you need to put it over the pits and buy a VIN and compliance plate, unlike days gone by when you could rego it for $30. It is now $100 plus so you have to find a registered trailer if doing it on the cheap.
$500 is pushing it unless you can find a really ratsh!t trailer for $50 that is still in rego and repair it..... but a new floor (most common problem) will be about $150 done on the cheap and doing it the hard way.
The top can be as cheap as $200 if you find secondhand 1" square tubing and get secondhand sign sheeting from a sign shop.
Cheapest I can think of is $300 ish for trailer (and you have to be hell quick and ring around within 2mins of the quokka coming out (look at their website) or the newspaper coming out as the cheap ones go real fast)
Once you have one get secondhand steel as above and mate who can weld and go for your life. You may get into your $500 budget if it doesn't need a new floor
