Just wondering where the best place is to get sail number stickers made?

Any suggestions? Seems places that make them are far and few between.

Thanks Sean

Any vinyl sign company will cut them for you.

doesn't every sail maker have them pre-cut in stickyback dacron?

I know the one in North Freo on Stirling Hwy used to have bins full of all the letters and numbers

Else, buy some stickyback and cut it yourself?

Like Silvec said, any sign co will do a sticker for you so I dunno why they said no?
The sign co's use vinyl and the better stuff lasts about 7yrs in full sunlight so would be plenty good enough for a sail

No sailmakers cut them by hand, they have templetes to draw out the ones they want..

If your interested i have just purchased a Vinyl Cutter a few weeks ago and plan to make sail numbers and can get vinyl that lasts 7 to 8 years on outdoor signs..

I have recently bought three sets for a quiver of race sails from ebay australia from a company called 'surfconnectoz', they were about 8 dollars per letter/number in any colour/size/style you choose and come as a set i.e AUS0000 so you can lay them out on the sail and it all looks perfect and you don,t have to go any further than the mailbox, @ 3-4 days.
200m/m high was good for 6.5 and up with 7 characters, go for smaller size on wave sails e.t.c
Not sure of the material but it,s not dacron, 6 months old and no problems with any of them, way cheaper than the last set i got from the sailmakers.

Can also try Parnell Signs in Freo/WGV border
About $10 per sticker (for a six letter/number sticker) and can make within a couple of days.

Is that right?
So for AUS123 would be $48 - per side - = $96 per sail

Hey PC what sort of vinyl cutter did you get, Im thinking about getting a new one as mine is ancient now and only takes 500 wide vinyl and now most rolls are 600 wide?
and what signware program did you get, Ive been using "signtools" (Aussie made) and cutting straight from corel draw.

Hey Rider, i got a P-Cut, it cuts up to 630mm, so full board width.

I got Flexistarter with it, i can design on corel and transfer it to the cutting programe, using corel X4. any fonts you have on corel go straight into flexistarter so super fast to do fonts and numbers etc..

You are ment to be able to cut straight from corel but still working that out.
