Im looking for a sail that would be suitable for beginners / small people, Purchase-Borrow-Steal.
I have been giving lessons to work colleagues, their partners and children, the problem is my smallest sail is too big for the smaller ones.
Something in the 3 to 4 range would be good.

Ring the shops? Thye all have a 3.5 - 4m late 1990's wavesail they just can't get rid of. Saw something like that on WSP site for $25 or something a while back (?)

Don't bother with buying a dedicated beginners sail, I've sailed a few of these and they are not nice to sail as the centre of effort moves around alot. Even the serneve one is not great bad. never understood the idea of giving beginners sails that are harder to sail than the 'experienced' sailor uses. Also get the best mast you can afford too as again giving beginners heavy stiff masts is 'orrible.

Best off picking up a couple of year old onshore wave or freestyle sail. Nice soft stable power and tough too. Plenty of them about and cheap too. just ask any windsurf shops.
