I am going back to Esperance last week of Dec and early Jan this year. Been there many times before and I know of an awsome spot about 1 hour from the town that gets easily double the size waves of Observations and about 5 knots more wind.
I know the location, but it requires a 4wd to reach it. If anyone is going to Esperance over this period and has a 4wd, I am happy to show you the spot in turn for a lift. It does need a proper 4wd, not one of these softroaders (I have one myself and would not bother)!
P.S. The shot on my profile is of the spot!
Maybe keep this spot for yourself. I've sailed it. Just go hire a 4wd ute from town. If you keep telling people, soon a snice spot will get very busy, crowded an may even get populated by kiters![]()
Hey Mark. Don't panic. Certainly would not publically disclose it. It is a matter of finding the right people to disclose it too. Have known about it for quite a few years as you would know if you are who I think you are - and there are no crowds there yet are there?
Nah no worries.... just thought you may end up with a party of 7 or 8 ppl ![]()
but seems you are switched on. It is a noooiice spot though isn't it ![]()
I know the place your talking about, and Crasher said to me If I ever disclosed it "He'd have to kill me", well big boy, I'm in the mood for a fight and as they say "the bigger they are the harder they fall". The place is called Wave rock, Hyden, it has a perfect 8m Wave face that is consistent all the time. I think in this time of information sharing and the internet, we need to open all these secret spots up[}:)]
Crasher, I know you secretly work for the CIA, all thos "Inverted Commas" working away for weeks on end, then sudddenly appearing again.......away on your so called "Fly in Fly Out" Arrangements, Secret remote controlled contraptions.......
