Affirmative - nice little sail on the sparkly blue sea. Nearly got two green arrows for Swanbourne too! But where's the swell? Maybe Saturday?

to busy at work but dont mind missing out as BALI in 3 days

Slims words on the surf
this mornings 6.00am surf check on the Outer Reefs (as I was pushing my little double outrigger boat into the water) was showing wave height to have bounced a touch. There was some nice sized set waves pushing the 3-4ft range (well over head) when they came through. That was on Middle Reef while Kuta Reef and Airport Left were only receiving waist to chest high at best.

Its surfing time boys pack that wind stuff away

spot1 you should know never to give up so easy - had a great cruise today - the word was it was better earlier but some of us were working. Might still be a few "summer" sails before the winter ones start

I hate you featherweights
got down to Dutchies, started to rig only to feel the wind getting lighter and lighter, watch the 3 or 4 guys out starting to slog and thought ... "bugger it".
packed up and sulked off home

roll on Saturday

It was allright from 5 to 6 at dutchies, allright meaning planing all the time in about 16-18 knots on a 5.8 and 95 liters for 70kg

There are a couple of reasons Bender.
I windsurf at a windy spot. I put little downhaul on my sail. Use a floaty board.
According to the charts it was over 20 knots. More like 22/23 gusting 25

Wow - where was that (as if you would)???? Not Perth suburbia, shorely? Cottesloe was pushing 18 - 20 at times, but mostly it was just 15 - 18.

I have it sussed though - 120 litre board, 7.4m sail and a 38cm weedy will plane my 95kgs just fine in anything down to 12 - 14 knots, no dramas. And if I stomp on it (getting better at this) it turns almost as well as my 130 litre SUB, so I'm not complaining.

Yeah Me and about 6 others at Scarbs was only about chest high though. it must have been knee high out at happy land.
Edited after getting death threats.

Pinnaroo was 20-25K when I rocked up at 4.45.

Alas Huey turned the tap off and by the time I'd rigged and hit the water it was only 15K

Got a pretty good idea where Greeny and crew were sailing, but I'll respect his confidence on this one.

It's always a bit windier north metro if you know where to go
