The next Freestyle session will Be at Pelican Point Nedlands from 5pm on Monday 16th November.

I'll bring the quick shade so you can find us.
We will have a BBQ and some beers after sailing.
If its light winds we will bring some big boards/sups to play around on before we stoke the bbq up.

So whos in??

Forecast looking like possibly OK ........ well compared to last week

I'm in - as an observer ...... I actually have a physio appt 2hrs before that, at which I will ascertain IF I am allowed to sail yet. So so so close.........

We really enjoyed the last one (despite lack of wind) and are keen to join you again, but we'll have to reschedule a piano lesson...
The piano teacher windsurfs too. We'll try to talk him into coming...

Good luck, Mark.
Will you be bringing your windsurfing gear just in case?

Nah got a 90min drive afterwards so when I do sail Perth this season I will be derigging at 5pm, not starting!
I'll drop in for a beer (lonely beer as I guess not many people will be having a brew before they sail hahahaha)

3 days after that I'll be in Esperance so I can wait.

Should be a bit of gear rigged up and ready to go, so if you want to go for a quick sail go for it.
Hopefully there will be a bit more wind than last time.

Just a reminder this is happening tomorrow.
Keep a look out for the black quickshade.
We will be using the bbq that is on the other side of the carpark so we dont have to cart one around.

coz slalom racing is on Wednesdays, and because this is more of a social event.
If no sailing happens then we just drink beer, have a bbq and socialise. Something we dont do enough of here in WA.

That's what we did last time, and it was really fun despite no wind.

Pelican Point Summer Twilight Series

Briefing 5.20 Start 5.30pm

• This is just for fun and is designed to attract sailors that want a bit of fun not for the ultra competitive.

• We will get on the water whatever the wind conditions and
try to get as many heats in as possible.
o Windy = slalom/freeride gear.
o Light = big boards.
o Super Light = Stick your rig on a SUP (Stand Up Paddle board provided)
o No Wind = SUP Race (board and paddle provided)

We will have a start sequence and a designated course to sail as per a normal race, so you can get the feel of how racing works. There will be a number of the top sailors on the water, so you can pick up a few tips. We will have a score board to record your finishing position each heat and tally the final results. The Twilight Series is great training for the real thing.

Ever tried using a GPS to record your highest speed? Windsurfing WA has six GPS units that are available to borrow, so you can see how your speed compares with other sailors. We will keep the results and see how you improve during the season

In the same way that yacht clubs attract experienced and inexperienced sailors all just wanting to have some fun we are going to do the same. Bring down some mates or come down by yourself everyone is welcome!!!

SMALL PRINT
This is not an organised race… it is a social get together that is all about being safe and having fun. Every sailor is responsible for their own safety and should only sail within their capabilities. Be aware at all times of other water users, it is YOUR responsibility to be safe on the water. By suggesting this get together we are in no way taking any responsibility for your or others safety.

Thanks for coming down guys.
Nobody hit the water since it was cold, but a few beers were consumed and many a sausage was eaten.

Hoop and I will decide where the next session will be soon and make sure we bring soft drink aswell.

No, strangely enough. Maybe you can organise it for the next one.
We'll be too busy sailing next time anyway because it will definately be windy.
