Took my brand spanker wave (decrep shapped custom) board for it maiden voyage today.

Got out at 3pm. Sailed my local onshore wave spot.

First run out fully powered up on a 4.7m i hit a sizable ramp and holy sh#t i nearly hit the moon.

It was hard riding waves but i got one bomb and got 6 bottom turns in.

After an hour the wind died and went really on/off. during one lull i had a logo size set mow me down while off the plane. Ended in a long swim.

Cant wait to get the board in some cross off DTL goodness.

One very happy Bender

I sailed my new spot near the J-Bay and it was great! Swell was very small but when it is cross shore in a westerly you can't compliain. I can't wait for a 4m swell with a westerly the place will go off!!

Is this this spot you have been telling me about?
I hope it works for you. May have to come up for a visit
What swell did you have today?
I think we had a 4.5m Rotto swell today? I tried not to look

Grumps no it is not, but the far northern end, just south of North Head, would be good "wrong tack" waveriding in a NW - W breeze. Haven't checked it out....but it is a long sandy drive in just to sail on your lonesome. My spot is more of a B&J with with short rides. Good place where you can go off and get smashed and not care. Imagine Crazies cross shore

Yeah Greenie it is the one I spoke of a couple of months ago. Would not be worth the drive unless we had a couple of fronts in a row to get the swell up. Late winter, 30-35 West and 5-6m swell it would be like Pozo
