Great video! Really liked the action.

Interesting to see how infrequently they smack the lip. I mean Josh is (apparently) the best windsurfer in the world. Is it just too risky with all the rocks on the shore?

i was in cape verde last week and most launches are sketchy as they come, josh and kai were at ali baba in the north, one of the worst launches... punta preta is actually the easiest because you only have the shorebreak to deal with on the sandy beach.

amazing place though... DTL heaven

Huge waves, but those guys (Josh atleast) are the best wavesailors in the world. Let's see the footage of Mitu Monteiro kiting it on the same day for some big lip glides and freight train barrels.
I bet there are heaps of you weekend warrior poleboarders that would have had a better crack at those waves, especially with jet ski back up!. Nobby raish and JP must not compete anymore if those guys are the primo.
I'm just goin to pop in Tradewinds to see Mike Waltze doing better than that 30 years ago. Where is the progression?, unless you count the lairy nose-slide-jump-jibe-inverted-cheese rolls poleboarders are into these days?. JP was trying double forwards when he was 17yrs, and I still haven't seen anyone sail away from one planing yet.
Has that revved anybody up or what?
Sorry, I was trolling for wind and surfing info for Kadavu or Yanuca islands, anybody?.
I'll leave now, bye.
