Was that the weekend just gone? I hear there were some boards broken as well.

"This day was registering 57 knots a cape grim. The sequence is of Anthony Houston getting nailed. His sail was obliterated. Anthony is 55. A legend!

For this Anthony won the hardcore prize!"

Dan, did you sail BOL in the nats? Reminds me of the final day of the last Smackfest...that place is so consistent with strong wind and waves!

The Bluff (port tack cond) would have to be one of the most epic places to sail. It was surreal at the first Smackfest comp. 15-20kt perfect DTL.

It was one of those days that just don't play along. In the morning there was no swell with onshore winds. Then in the afternoon the swell came through along with a front and the wind went psycho. The photos don't do it justice. There was no great wavesailing just surviving! I will get the video together soon - you will see what I mean.

Unfortunately I don't have Anthony getting slammed on video. Tappo was either doing still or video.

The waves cranked over night and then disapeared with the wind at about 6am the next morning. The second day was a light session at Greens. Still great fun though.
