Travelling from Tassie to Geraldton from end of October to early November to windsurf, just wondering what the best gear to bring with me would be for wave riding and jumping?

Would like to try and limit it to one board, but may consider bringing two. Was thinking of bringing 4.5, 5, 5.7 wave sails and either Naish wave 87(has thruster or single fin option) or Starboard Kode 86 (single fin) or bring both boards. Weigh about 83kg

Advice appreciated

I'd say in November anything is possible... 4.0 as much as 6.4.

How are you "travelling" ?

despite what people tell you it doesn't blow everyday in WA, bring as much gear as you can fit.

Flying over, but at least the airlines are pretty good with prices on excess baggage these days

Mate - prepare for everything. Bring the Naish & all sails mentioned.
Can also hire gear from Tim @ Gspot, / also require decent vehicle to get around to all spots avail

You will have a ball - Gero goes off in summer. 95% of Geraldton locals only own a 4.2, 4.7 and 5.3. Just bring the board that likes waves the most - the thuster sounds versatile. Yim at the G Spot can normally rent you a board if conditions get super windy.

Just to keep you frothed up

Every ones answered your questions ,this was taken on Sunday 12.10.2014 ................where we scored a 4 to 6 foot ground swell which hit on Friday and hung around sat sunday and dropped into monday (all locations were firing) ............for the last week its been windy everyday by 2pm 20 knots Plus a bit 4.7 5.3s..... its now tuesday and still an afternoon seabreeze of 15-20 knots but very flat in comparison.

Ps Boardies and 1mm rashie (radiator) is perfect for the water temp and most of your days sailing but a ..........2mm all over steamer is ideal for wind chill and sunburn body for the late sessions

As long as you got a floaty board, you will be catching waves....... hope you score a ground swell ..............
