Travelled up the west coast of SA for the 380km roundtrip on Tues to find a 3.7m sw swell running and 18-20knts for the first hour which steadily filled in all afternoon. The shaky handycam footage was taken around 5pm with head high sets in front of the car and larger down the beach, bombie out the back was a consistent 3/4 to mast high![]()

after watching all these home made vids from SA over the last few years, it looks so much like the no.1 state for fun wave riding, with wind too.
is it tricky to get to these spots zachery? ![]()
These spots are relatively easy to get to. A 4WD (low range not required) helps but you can get to these places in a conventional AWD vehicle (Forrester/Outback/Captiva/Rav4 etc). Alternatively, a short walk of some 5 minutes will have you in the lineup.
Heres the link to Divaldos west coast wave action part 1 - Australia day at Walkers Rocks near elliston.
There's more to come - check out some of the photos from the Friday.
