Yes, sailed in Fly Cove at Wingan Inlet. Well I had fun, until I broke a mast. Best direction was north-easterly (cross-off) but that meant it was pretty patchy close in (hence the broken mast). Had the tinny to get from the jetty across the inlet to where the track head over the dune to the surf. Long walk otherwise from the camping ground. You feel kind of vulnerable with the seal colony a few hundred metres away.

Checked out the surf at Tamboon Inlet too, but unsailable- way too dumpy. You'd need a tinny to get from the camping area to the surf even if it was sailable.

Mallacoota should be good around Bastion Point, but never had the right conditions to try.

I spent most time in the flat water at each location, though.

Didn't see anything I liked at Pt Hicks, but didn't have gear with me that day anyhow.

just sunday past had a day surfing at Bekta Beach around the corner from Bastion Point. Not a soul in sight with 2 foot and NE offshore conditions. a couple more knots and I would have plugged in the rig. They tell me NE seabreezes are the norm in summer so this would have potential for port tack wave sailing. W and wsw would also work i guess for starboard tack.

NE or anything S head 1 hour north to Merimbula. Just had two days sailing the Bar in heavy southerleys and big junky storm swell. Great fun but very messy. This morning looked great...from my packed car :( heading onwards north. Short Point around the corner would be good in NE also.
