Hi,
Just wondering what would be a good wave board to start with. In NSW so it will be 12-18 knot days.
Fairly experienced on flatwater with 130ltr + boards, but never tried a small board or gone in the waves and reckon its about time to give it a go. I weigh in at 75kg.
Thanks.
FSW
forget wave boards just yet unless it will be plenty windy and you sail often - rather go a FSW to get used to the harder to get planing, harder to get out thru waves etc feel, but it will turn better and get you going along waves a bit.
Start with a 90-100L FSW on flatwater and when that is easy, then try a spot with cross to cross on winds and say waist hi waves
A season on that, then a quad that is 10L about your body weight for 20kn days.
Thanks Mark. Appreciate the advice.
Thought I'd share a link on what I found when doing a search on what FSW is.

yep go the dyno , ive got the 105 and its a fantastic board ive had a few fsw over the years and this board is my favorite. you can have alot of fun in waves it is a great jumping board and you can have alot of fun just blasting around it planes early and has good speed for jumping .i have had my dyno for one season and highly recommend.
