hi guys just wondering if anyone has any good tips for projecting out the front of the wave when doing airs in cross off. im happy to send it off the lip but i always seem to end up landing off the back of the wave.

hight is not the issue just struggle in cross off to land back in the sweet spot. Am i not staying high enough on the wave before i hit the lip or do i need to come in more virtical. At forries it gets more cross off as the wave wraps around the reef. somethimes it just works but not sure why all the time .

cheers tommy

Just get one of those red sails that everyone has these days - they seem to have that something extra

I find that trying to point the nose into the wind when coming off the lip actually slows you down and thus makes you fall off the back, I tend to try and boost and keep your eye on the landing across the waves rather than out in front. I find it keeps you above the apparent lip wind/spray and keeps you moving with the wave.

So in summary, aim to air across the wave, rather than out in front of it, to keep speed in the air

Sounds like you might be hitting a little early. Try abit later so the lip gives you abit of a hit back towards the beach.

That is hilarious given Tommy's recent purchase of three such red sails!
