Hi there,
I'm headed to Lakey Peak early September and have a couple of questions on travel and accomodation so would appreciate feedback from guys who've traveled there before.
- will I find an ok room (fan/net) if I just rock up late August or is the place likely to be busy as hell ? I m only asking because I ve seen this happen in Kuta Lombok a few years ago.
- has anyone done the Mataram/Bima trip by land with gear ? I had a very close call on a plane last year and decided my life may be worth a couple more hours stuck in a bus. Just curious to have feedback on this alternative

Cheers

Antoine

Antoine,

If theres a soild swell the place can get pretty busy with surfers chasing it, and theres bound to be bulk kiters late august.
Hotel Arman Gati has the best set up but is of course the most expensive.
Not sure about the Bima/Land option but know when we went, getting sailing gear on the plane was an issue cos the airline were doing repairs to their larger jet.
