Hi

The time is fast approaching to upgrade my beloved 2006 6.2m NP Search. It has had more panel replacements than a stock car (kudos to Jesper who does such a great job). But I can see the mast pocket is now getting to it. ;(

The two things I like about it are its power and lightness (4.2 kg). It rigs perfect on my 430 Ezzy RDM, even though that is a constant curve, and the NP's were set up for soft tops - it has worked perfectly in the 15-20kn where I use it.

So the question is, could I rig a 2014 Blade on the Ezzy (well, I know I could, but should I)? The Ezzy would be a bit softer in the tip as compared to the Severne RDM - which tends into the hard tip zone - how would that affect performance? Could I adjust with a bit less downhaul?

Any advice appreciated (never used Severne sails before).

Cheers

Marv

One of the local guys here rigs his Blades on Ezzy masts and it seems to work OK, I occasionally rig my 6.3 S1 on a Naish mast which I think is close to constant curve.
If you had a top section from a 460 you could try that....

OK thanks.

Mix and match is an interesting option, I hadn't thought of that...
