Greetings dear all,
I come from Chile (Matanzas, Topocalma), we use to sail portack with 90L and 4.5, average wave size about 2.5m (8 ft).
I really apreciate if someone can guide me about average conditions in Marrawah zone, sail size, best season, etc.

Marrawah can be a mixed bag I usually carry 4.0 to 5.2. I'm 90kg on 90lt board. I mostly chase cross-off conditions from float and ride to 35kts. Average conditions are 4.7 to 5.0. You can sail most of the year although I'd say Nov to Feb inclusive is the sweet spot. In terms of swell we head to Marrawah on anything from 2.5m to 5m. Swell is key to the place as you will likely get wind most days, especially through the warmer months. Best wind direction is South through South West or out of the North East, so both tacks can fire on any given trip

Sailed about 20 days there, never ever with anyone else. Had a surf with someone once.

Same as others have never sailed there with anyone else. Every trip had wind. Greens is playful and fun. I'm 90kg used 90litre and 5.3/4.7 always in summer so haven't had a nuclear 4.0 day there yet but happy about that to be honest.
if north to north east check bluff reef. Scored it amazing there a couple of years ago cross off mast high gets good swell and clean wind - and this was on my birthday too!

the rocks are shaped like spears
only company is dairy cows, or farmer at pub but probably more sense from the cow.
the kelp tries to drown you, surfed that spot in photo the seaweed actually wants you dead. Have FUN, don't die, no one will ever know. Heading there for holiday in November, can't wait

hahahahaha it sounds quite familiar, I lived in NZ for a year and my main spots were Llyal Bay and Plimmerton (I lived in Welly), also I sailed in Taranaki (Waitara and Kina Rd), so in addition I can say very gusty Lol. I reckon I'll survive in Tassie and hopefully we can share some session otherwise I'll be forced to celebrate with a couple of cows Lol.

That's great Bro, definitely I will, I love the spirit of this group :). Another excuse for the cause is the shoots that my partner normally score when I'm able to convice her to go with me and enjoy the nature Lol.
