its been mad offshore at margies lately. I remember going for a half hour sail at mainbreak on NYE before the drive back to Perth... CRAZY offshore (but then again I went out pretty early)
I saw Peter sail in back in the Smackfest days, totally awesome. I didn't compete but had a short sail before the contest. It is burned into my memory partly because Peter asked what sail I was rigging but mostly because the first wave I gybed onto was a little out of my league, in my memory that wave closed out the bay. If you take into account adrenaline and fear it was maybe half mast, I have no proof otherwise.
